2008 Field Day

Friday, May 23rd

It's time to start planning for Field Day. For the new dads...Field Day is held on a Friday in May every year. Instead of regular classes the kids spend the day outside participating in events on the school grounds. The activities include events like the 50-yard dash, soccer kick, 3-legged race, frisbee toss, etc... They enjoy pizza brought to their classrooms for lunch and they have sno-cones and other treats throughout the day.

The DDC's own Brian Brown will be heading up the Field Day Committee. The rest of the DDC also plays a very important role in the day.

We will be in need of dads throughout the day to help deliver water & ice to water stations, deliver pizzas to the classrooms, help with security, set-up, clean-up and general help around the event stations. If you can break away for a little while on Friday, May 23rd plan to help during a shift and then spend a little time walking around with your child watching some of the events. (We will have daycare available on site for non-Dove siblings so two parents can volunteer at the same time if necessary).
