Students with the following more obvious symtoms should be excluded from school until symptoms are gone or the child has been examined by a physician and allowed to return to school.
- Oral temperature of 101.4 or above
- Vomiting and/or persistent diarrhea within the past 24 hours
- Uncontrolled persistent coughing
- Red, draining eyes
- Undiagnosed skin rash with fever or behavior change
- Headlice and/or nits
- Strep infections until 24 hours after antibiotic treatment begins
